Greetings fashion gems across the grid! Our annual Lovecraftian festival known as “Lovefest” has been inaugurated with a wonderful opening gala! The music maestro known as “The Dark Doll”  one Fitch Lekvoda was absolute delectable and deviously spooky.  It set my avatar in the mood to dance, the following night over at Club Zero the club’s PR department dedicated their weekly  “Fantasy Friday” theme to Lovefest with the event so fondly titled “Cthulhu & The Numbers of the Beast”  a certain Ry’leh disciple found herself there and was it truly a spectacle to behold.  When you go to a dance club you are there mainly for the music. Oh yes it’s nice to look on point and join a group dance hud to oscillate with your friends.  Yet in the end its always about the beat of the music a gateway to the soul.  So the question gets dared ask.  What would a Ry’leh disciple  dance to?  What invisible rthythm’s that only they can hear? In this blog we did an homage to Lovefest both past and present.  Decor are from recent Lovefest festivals of 2016 & 2017 featuring eye popping items from MORBID FLESH, Simply Shelby Pixelancer, Unzipped,Btd, ~*Souzou Eien*~,Zero % and many more!  With this post I focused less on fashion and more  of the decorating angle. However I do wish to give kudos on the skin one of my favorite Drow skins from Lure and to give that spooky allure the “Desire” skin and course its not Lovecraft without something of tentacular proportions.  From Sweet Thing.  we have one “Tentacle Embrace”.  I hope everyone so far is enjoying the festivities of Lovefest 2017 so far!

“Yea though I walk in the valley of shadows, I shall fear no evil, my wickedry is that of my own doing.” Come ye villains and  sometime heroes its time for the spooky and morose to annually gather for the Lovefest 2017 Festival!  Every year the Society of Innsmouth plans and puts together  Lovefest a celebration of the birthday of famed horror writer H.P. Lovecraft (Cthulhu’s Daddy)! It is a collaboration of many designers and builders across the grid of Second Life that come together and celebrate all that is Lovecraft.  This year our artists have outdone themselves with a theme of “Into The Depths”  (I know that phrase does sound familiar doesn’t it? lol). Join us starting from August 17th-27th a plethora of performances, a market of yummy shoppable items to purchase, spooky commaderie, and a masquerade ball there’s plenty to see and do this year. Speaking of yummy items to be purchased featured below is a fabulous dress by [EvelineInTheBox] called “Adella” which will be available at Lovefest this year, comes in both popular mesh body sizes, standard sizes,various colors, and also fitted mesh! Paired with one of  my favorite hairs “THEA” from .:EMO-tions: and the white pearl was the jewel theme of choice. Topping it off  with some strappy heels from #Empire the lovely “Lotus” heels to create a simple but signature look.  The ambiance I was trying to capture with  the photos was myself as an Innsmouth Resident on my way to a “gathering of sorts”.  Now what kind of “sorts” I shall leave it up to the reader of course to figure out. Stay tuned and make sure you make it to Lovefest this one of a kind festival in SL!

“BON SNOW WHITE”

Ever wondered if life could truly be a fairy tale?  You know at the end of the day, you don’t have to work the Prince Charming is actually charming and you slayed all the evil step parents.  The story of Snow White has been a long fascination for me.  A princess gets mistreated her entire existence.  For simply being considered “beautiful” by everyone else around her.  This causes her step parent to have  a deep rooted hatred and even several assassination attempts.But if you read the tale of Snow White carefully, never ever did she consider herself to be the “Fairest of them all” it was everyone else.  I know kinda eye opening when you actually think about it. So in today’s concept we give ode to the lovely “Snow White” this time with a bit of modern vintage flair.  The “Bon Bon” outfit from .::{Solstice}::. gives our Snow White some shimmy to sashay what the Brothers Grimm of Linden Labs gave her.  I am quite fond of the outfit as I find it accentuates curves most gracefully and its also compatible for the mesh bodies.  Another treat found were the “Xenira” eyes from Sucidal Unborn a very new release which they were awesome to include catwa and omega appliers! And to give our BonBon the vixenish look I discovered a very cute eyeshadow at the recent round of .Suicide DollZ. the latest from .ARISE. the “Rina” eyeshadow.   I decided to keep true to famed verses of the fairy tale, so for a pale skin we went with the “Varda” skin from Lumae, for ravenesque tresses- I did two hairs  for my longer look the lovely “Thea” from .:EMO-tions:.  and the “Widow” hair from  DOE.  for my updo.  Yes I will admit my “Snow White” may not be so innocent but it is perhaps she may have learned a thing or two from the wicked queen. So how about them apples?  ;-P

Greetings Second Lifers!  Yes its been a while, but those of us who dwell in the depths have been busy with mostly RL things of here and there.  But I for the moment have returned to the depths and I offer this wonderful photo! As most of you are aware that the grid has done that “Bento” thing.  And my avatar is no exception, I recently purchased the “Catya” Bento Mesh head from Catwa and I tell you.  I am amazed. Yes there is quite a learning curve if you have never used a mesh head before.  Yes you will want to pull your hair out, curse the designer, and other things out of mass frustration.  But the quality of it cannot be match.  It’s the awesome yo.  The fact you can customize your own face in pure mesh is worth it.  Trust me ladies its so very worth it.  So this is a very special one shot photo done by the wonderful London Amaterasu Hecate-Tunwarm (my waifu ya’ll!) forever in gratitude of her endless creativity she takes my avatar to new levels.  With this concept its very playful feminine dandy with a dash of Victorian burlesque.  I look forward to 2017 “The Year of Bento” within our Second Lives.

There is something to getting in touch with your “Inner Wild Child”-  I mean we all have them. They lurk about in the inner depths of your mental psyche, just begging to be let out. The clawing, scratching, tearing of any barrier that separates you from said beast.  Sometimes mine likes to come out and say hello every one in a while.  It’s good for the soul every once in occasion.  Like recently with the newest group gift from.:Soul:.with the Fala Ethereal-Leopard skin, which is a group gift from good ole Charlie Senpai.  The catch is you have to catch the lucky chair in your legacy name, not an easy feat.  Took myself three days, but three days well worth it! I mean those leopard spots are just fierce! Now I ask the most important question.  What if Miss. Muffet actually decided to stay?  Maybe she and the spider were not so much enemies?  Important questions I tell you!  That’s one of the things that I like about nursery rhymes they leave room for alternate endings. As well as alternative type photos.This blog’s concept comes from an ode to my favorite comic artist J.Scott Campbell if you have not checked out his artwork I highly suggest you do so. This is my tribute to Campbell’s Lil Miss. Greetings my fellow Creeps & Ghouls. I bring you much Halloween cheer.  Today’s blog is jammed packed with new releases, I don’t even know where to begin.  We have a few new seasonal events to have hit the grid! Its something about the ocean even in Second Life that I absolutely love.  Its amazing what  the builders of SL can do, they can create virtual worlds and landscapes that seem so vividly real. The newly designed mainstore of Astralia provides a great scenery into the oceanic fantasy.  A trip to the Arcade proved fruitful where I was lucky to get the rare dress “Sous-Marine” by powerhouse duo CurelessAmore-   We have Moon Amore & Cureless their creations are simply amazing. As you can tell by now I am donning my signature color skin, as I shout to the digital heavens #TeamBlue.  This electric blue skin called “Aurae” from sponsor Lumae takes you to new levels on the Fantasy level.  I did a more aquatic look but this my friends would make a great base for a Mystique (perhaps a Mystique in my probable future).  You can find “Aurae ” along with other skins featured in the Eirtae line at the Lumae mainstore.  Also I made my way to the most recent round of “Secret Affair”  and you know funny story for the longest time I saw blog pics about that event and I always wondered why it was “secret”…  Its really a one of a kind event that the grid features and if you haven’t been I do recommend going at least once.
